When Warner Brothers was beginning a new television show “The Dukes of Hazzard” they needed someone to create a fast car. The car was to be bright red with a rebel flag and the number 01 on it. The famous car was named the “General Lee.” This assignment was given to Henry Holman, owner of H & H Body Shop.

H & H Body Shop was responsible for making sure the General Lee was as good as new every morning. Henry along with his crew at the body shop maintained nightly hours to make sure this feat was met.

The filming of The Dukes of Hazzard lasted two months in Georgia. The first five shows were filmed here. Most car driving scenes were filmed around Covington and Rosebud.

Henry Holmans outside passion was hunting and the outdoors. He grew up in Atlanta and had relatives all over Gwinnett County. Those relatives had farms and young Henry would go hunting on them. He learned to shoot at a very young age and spent many summers on his Grandfather's farm in Walton County.

He became a certified mechanic after graduating from Fulton High School. His family was into the automobile business but not into body work, Henry decided to learn it. Working with his brother in law he learned the business and has been doing it ever since.

Henry resides with his wife Lisa in South Georgia. He owns a farm called  H & H Farms. He not only has his own property but he has a great place to hunt, entertain friends, spend the weekend, escape the city or anything else he wants to do on his own land. He also owns a restored 1930s era house decorated with his trophies and next to his house is H & H Collectibles, a museum. His museum is open at certain times for an indoor yard sale, though not all is necessary for sale.

Henry has sought election to the Taylor County Commissioner Seat in District 3. He is well known in Taylor County as owner of H & H Farms and H& H Collectibles. Some also know him as the builder of the original General Lee cars for the television show The Dukes of Hazzard, at his body shop, H & H Body Shop in Gwinnett County.
